Blessing is one of five siblings who stay at home with their single mother. After discovering Bakashana, she wants to become a positive role model and encourage other young girls to continue their education.

After Mercy’s father died in an auto accident, she stopped attending school due to a lack of funding. A friend told her about Bakashana, and after a week, the same friend escorted Mercy and her mother to our office. After passing the interview process, we were delighted to offer a scholarship.
Tracy Kangwa
Tracy is from Chiba, Kasama, but she has recently been selected to attend Kanyanta Boarding School. With the help of Bakashana, she will start Grade 10 this year. She is very committed to her education and is working to become a doctor.
Patience Bwalya
Patience has seen a lot of suffering in her adolescence, and it inspired her to become a nurse after graduation. With the help of Bakashana, she is studying to realize her dream and help those around her.
Highness Nuwenya
Highness started Grade 10 in 2023. She is from Mulenga and is the fifth of six children. She works very hard at school, and has big plans of becoming a lawyer after she finishes her education.
Agness Nalavwe
Agness dreams of becoming either a nurse or an accountant. She currently stays with her grandmother, who is a small-scale farmer. With the help of Bakashana, she is able to attend school.

Grace Gondwe
After the death of both parents, Grace stopped attending school until her grandmother intervened and took her under her wing. While Grace has a place to stay and is enrolled in Grade 10 at PEAS Kapinda Secondary School, she still faces challenges at home. There are many children at home and food is scarce. With the help of Bakashana, Grace wants to be a medical doctor after graduation. Above all, though, she wants to take care of her grandmother and return the favor.
Juliet Bwalya
Juliet is a 15 year old student living in Mungwi District. She started Grade 10 in 2023 at St. Anthony Secondary School. She lives alone with her mother, but she has a second family here with Bakashana. After graduating, she dreams of studying medicine and becoming either a doctor or a nurse.
Memory Kangwa
Memory began Grade 10 at Musenga Day Secondary School in 2023. She lives in Mungwi with her mother, who struggles to provide for the family by selling vegetables in a local market. She is working towards becoming a nurse so that she can help sick people in Zambia and all over the world.
